— Partners competed to win it, in a minute, as Fred's Food, Fun & Spirits on Immokalee Road hosted a version of the popular game show Thursday evening. Emcee and Fred’s co-owner Kathy Newton led the seven pairs through a series of challenges, ranging from the ludicrous to the impossible.

Games included “A Little Dicey,” in which one of each twosome was required to balance five dice on a popsicle stick in their mouth, and “Face the Cookie,” where one had to slide three cookies from over the eye into the mouth, as well as the ever-popular cup-stacking event, which was one of several no one was able to complete in the sixty seconds allotted.

Fred’s, which has a variety of entertainment, including open-mic nights, standup comedy, and bluegrass music, will host additional “Minute to Win It” nights on future Thursdays Newton said, although the exact dates are still to be determined.

Fred's Food, Fun and Spirits is located at 2700 Immokalee Road in the Uptown Plaza. Call 239-431-7928 or go online to fredsnaples.com for more information.
