GOOOH stands for “Get Out Of Our House” (Of Representative). It is a NON-partisan grassroots National Movement to take back “the People’s House” from self-serving career politicians, big moneyed, special interests, and lobbyists. Our Founders created the House with two year terms so that everyday citizens could be involved in their government and held accountable for their actions.
When discussing GOOOH, concerned citizens often ask “Why would I want to throw them all out? Some of them are good people trying to do the right thing and besides I like my representative. The problem is those other guys!”
Does it really matter if you “like” him/her? We voted for our high school officers based on likes and dislikes. This is about results. What has your politician done to balance the budget, to prevent amassing huge debt for our children, to seal our borders, improve our education system, solve the looming Social Security/Medicare insolvency, or ensure that we can say a prayer at a High School Commencement? The past 20-plus years has proven that both parties and incumbents are stuck in Catch 22, owned by the 90-plus percent campaign donations they receive from big business and lobbyists.
Martin Gross (author of “National Suicide”), says it well: “The process to select candidates and reelect incumbents is completely broken. They are all corrupted by the current system within a few month of taking office, and once elected they have to “go along to get along to be reelected!”
This means big money, lobbyists and special interests own them. Go watch the first 2 articles on a Web site ourcaucus.com.
Each citizen must soul-search and self educate, however “Continuing to do the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity.” (Einstein).
GOOOH candidates will be Representatives, not politicians — just as our Founding Fathers intended. They will behave differently because they will be committed to term limits and each candidate ...
1. Will clearly document their stance on 100-plus issues in the candidate questionnaire.
2. Will be chosen by their peers in a rigorous candidate selection process.
3. Will be legally obligated to vote according to their candidate questionnaire answers.
4. Will truly represent the political views of the people in their district.
5. Will not be controlled by a party.
6. Will not owe millions of dollars in favors to special interest groups.
Bottom line: It is the process that is broken. We can’t keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result! If we don’t change it, we guarantee failure and more of the same.
“Get Up and GOOOH.”
